Pattern Bars
Pattern Bars are a fun design element, which are created by calculated physics and randomized flows. There are endless setup possibilities which will result in even more creative ahhh-moments.

You start with constructing a box, which will contain the flowing glass. Calculate the volume of the desired pattern bar and fill the box with the same amount of glass. Use your creativity when stacking the glass. Use full fuse temperature range and make sure the glass has evenly filled the box.

That's how the glass slab looks after the fusing.

Remove glass slab and clean it from any kiln wash or fiber paper residue. The face side gives you already a good idea of the flow pattern. Exciting, isn't it?

Now comes the real unveiling! Using a wet tile saw with a diamond disk, cut the slab into equally thick slices. When laying two neighboring pieces side by side, you get a fantastic mirror pattern.

After another careful cleaning process, design your final piece using the pattern slices.
